About Me

My name is TJ. I’m an authentic, 21st century, real, modern dad. I have an 18-month old baby boy, and a 3 month old fetus to boot. What I’ve learned in my first year and a half of parenthood is that I don’t have a clue what I’m doing and that fatherhood ain’t what it used to be. But, I’ve also learned that love goes a long way and there’s nothing wrong with doting on your kid.

So why am I blogging? To share my experiences with you guys and maybe get some advice back. I’d love to see a community of modern day dads pop up because of this blog.

What’s a modern dad day, you ask? It’s a dad that still goes to work and pays the bills, just as macho as our fathers and our father’s father’s, but we’re also is involved with everyday learning and loving. We have a new commitment to our kids that is unprecedented, but it’s also unprecedently rewarding, so it ought to be a blast!
